Clinical Supervisors at Flourish have collective experience providing supervision at Duke’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Duke Department of Social Work and Case Management, Duke’s High Risk OB/Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic, and UNC’s Department of Psychiatry. We have trained everyone from master’s level social work and psychology graduate students, to post-master’s clinical associates, and psychiatry residents. Having all received exceptional training and incredible clinical supervision, we take this roll very seriously and think of it as our opportunity to pay it forward. We do not supervise individuals who do not work at Flourish, as this does not allow for the type of training experience we seek to provide our trainees. In addition to individual supervision, we also believe in a collaborative model of practice and ensure that all trainees learn from multiple providers and perspectives. We are competent, experienced, and skilled at providing clinical supervision in CBT, ACT, CPT, CBT-I, and perinatal & maternal mental health.
Marissa strikes the perfect balance of providing helpful information and advice
as well as validation and support. I felt comfortable coming to her with any clinical concerns and I learned so much from her clinical expertise. Her sense of humor and down-to-early personality also make working with her enjoyable and fun.
